A HUGE Weekend
Kyle-
As the title suggests, this was a HUGE Weekend. I'll explain.
Friday after school Jeanette went home to go dress shopping with her mom on Saturday. I went home on Saturday and helped power wash the house and paint the porch. That evening I got a call, she found THE Dress! AAAAHHH!!! They found it at the second store they went to and they said it's awesome.
Unbeknownst to Jeanette, I just happened to "obtain" a picture of her in the dress. Here it is:
I know what you're thinking, "How did she get her hair so big?" Well the answer is simple. Glue. Lots and Lots of Glue.
Ok, that's not actually her dress, and that's not actually her, and I'm guessing/hoping that it doesn't really have those sleeves. I won't get to see it until June 24th, and it could very well have those sleeves.
I don't really care, as long as she's in there somewhere :-)
Also this weekend my mom and I drove down to Ft Wayne to go with Jeanette and her mom (Rose) to a "Wedding Expo". Here are my thoughts:
This was not as terrible as you might think. There were lots of free cake samples and hors de' vors and I got to talk to a bunch of photographers which was cool. I also got a sweet deal setup with Louie's Tux Shop. There was only one part of the show that was lame.
The Fashion Show
Ok, granted there WERE some interesting things that we came away with (flowers that were cool and some dress ideas) but in general we decided that traditional is Definitely the way to go for us. I'll apologize to all of you who were hoping to see the pheasant and peacock feathers and twigs that were featured in the bouquets and boutaneers that we saw this weekend. We just decided that wasn't us.
Since there were 50+ booths there and they were all giving away brochures and pamphlets, we'll have plenty to sift through over the next few weeks. This is the kind of shopping I like.
So that was this weekend. HUGE? Yes. Yes it was.
